Business Development Director
World Wide Sires, Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Director to join our Europe, Middle East and North Africa sales team. This full-time position reports to the regional Sr. Vice President and offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the growth and success of our organization.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to increase WWS unit and value market share in assigned countries
Conduct competitive analyses, identify new market opportunities, and recommend strategic initiatives
Develop and manage key distributor, agents and/or direct large progressive farm accounts to maximize sales growth and market penetration
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in assigned countries, including customers, distributors, sales teams, and industry partners
Possess in-depth knowledge of country-specific requirements, including genetic and health regulations
Provide timely sales visits, assist customers with product selection, and follow through on requests
Promote and sell WWS products and services, including semen and embryos, genomic testing service and/or heat detection systems, within designated countries
Conduct educational seminars, recommend advertising and promotional activities, and motivate customers to consistently use WWS high value genetics and related services
Supervise the preparation of sales & service proposals, as well as bid tenders and enforce company credit policies
Provide ongoing support and after-sales service to ensure customer satisfaction and collaborate with internal departments, including Global Dairy Solutions, Genetic Services, Advertising/Promotion, Order Processing and Administrative Coordination, to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products and services
Stay abreast of industry trends and developments, attending relevant shows & exhibitions, and company events and training programs as required
Requirements and Skills
Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive, or a relevant role, preferably in the A.I. or dairy/beef cattle industry
Demonstrated sales track record and experience in customer support (distributor and/or direct accounts)
Strong understanding of cattle industry and dairy and beef genetic programs
Knowledge of dairy and beef cattle reproduction management
Fluent in English, and proficient in one or more other languages
Proficient to Advanced MS Office skills
Excellent communication, negotiation, and rapport-building skills
Effective time management and planning abilities
BS degree in dairy or animal science or equivalent business experience, with strong academic and extracurricular activities record
Travel
Travel is required and is essential for market and customer visits, with plans reviewed regularly with the Senior Vice President to ensure efficiency and cost control.
Location
This position can either be fully remote, or partially remote using company’s office locations. Regional home base in Europe, Middle East or North Africa is preferred for travel efficiency purposes, although not absolutely necessary. North & South American or Asia/Oceania candidates are also welcome to apply as well.
